There are other mineral makeups, however, I would never change from bareMinerals. I love it! I had the most horrible skin for a while. I still have boughts of acne, and this is the best stuff ever. It's a great cover-up and the foundation is sooooo sheer. I never feel like pancake face! In one of my Good Housekeeping magazines, there was a comparison of different mineral makeups. bareMinerals was rated the best. It's worth the cost and it lasts forever, so you really aren't paying so much in the long run. Hope this helps:)

I have done a lot of studies on mineral makeup. I have tried majority of them as well. The list of minerals that I have tried as follows: Loreal, Bare Escentuals, Everyday Minerals, Philosophy, Sheer Cover, Glo Minerals, Jane Iredale, Physician Formula, Youngblood and so many others that I do not even remember their names. That said, Bare Escentual unlike what the commercials assert is not the purest mineral. The best explanation is that a lot of people get an itchy sensation after applying BE. That is because BE contains Bismuth. Therefore, BE is not pure at all. I suggest that you look into Everyday Minerals, especially Intensive formula. Go on everydayminerals.com and surf around the website. The company sends samples for free. The products are pure and much less expensive than other minerals as well. Good Luck!

Just bought a kit from Neuragena with loose powder, pressed powder and two eye shadows for less than 20 bucks. it has no bismuth oxy something or other that some people seem to sensive to. It claims to be less irritating and good for acne prone skin. When I asked in Walgreens there was 3 different mineral lines avaiable.

Buy the sheer cover then buy the sephora knock off brushes. The bare minerals feel alot nicer but if you buy them seperate they are so expensive. Try the starter kit for bareminerls it has 3 brush, but the one from their site it has a compact with a moon brush.

I was going to tell you which product I use, but since you are only interested in the fancy brushes you just answered your own question.
