No. "Coil over" means the springs are coiled over the shock. Nice mod btw, don't neglect your tires.
Not sure if Toby and V8 misunderstood your question or I did. If you are asking if you need to keep the old shocks, then no. The coil over is a spring and shock package. If you are asking if it still has shocks, then yes, they are part of the coil over package. The spring is wrapped around the shock. You will discard your old springs and shocks.

Yes, coil overs go over the the shock absorber that's inside the spring. I.E. coil "overs"
