I use demologica for a face wash...always use a mild scrub to help get dead skin off and a good moisturizer. I don't know how sever your acne is...but using good products along with getting a facial every 6-8 weeks and drinking plenty of water should help a lot! It did / still does for me :)

proactive may sound like a total waste of money but it actually works. i have been in the beauty industry for 4yrs and i have never seen a product achive more positive results and i dont really trust any product you can buy from infomercials. i have many clients that have tried other products and none work better than proactive. i suggest you give it a try. acne is a condition caused by a build up of bacteria so be sure to always keep skin clean and always clean makeup off before bed time. and drinking plenty of water is always a good thing for any skin type. exfoliation is also important for acne prone skin but too often can make your acne worse, best to do it once daily after cleaning off your makeup. good luck!

Proactive is a great help as a lot of people here can attest to. I have been on the accutane treatment, yes it does work as well, but unless you have great Insurance, it is incredibly expensive, well over $250.00 for a 30 day supply, and you have to be on the program for at least 6 mos. The side effects can be dangerous as well, the dryness just about made me nuts, eyes, hands, arms, everything dried out(that's the point) it dries out the oil. It also raise your cholesterol level to ungodly heights, that's why you have to go get checked every 30 days. mine peaked at 387 when I had decided enough. But it worked I had severe acne for 20 yrs. and now I don't.
I have a link to a site that has proactive at a very reasonable price, check it out here.

If you’re looking for accurate acne information, best to see a dermatologist. Some people believe doctors are predisposed to take the easy way to deal with acne… prescription drugs. But, with many, this simplistic answer may not be the appropriate course of action.
Some feel that such prescription drugs just treat the symposium and not the underlying cause. But, a local dermatologist is still your best starting point.
For me personally, I discovered a great informational acne treatment site. Not only is there good information/articles but I got their audio e-book and following it’s advice can now say that my acne is a thing of the past!
Keep in mind, were all different and there are various types of acne, so what works for some may not be totally effective for all.
Bottom line, hang in there, you will get past this! Sincere best wishes and good luck.
Oh, by the way the site that helped me is:

Watch what you eat. Your hormones play a great role in your acne and once you eat something that is sugary, spicy, or oily, it gets into your blood stream and hormones, and you end up having acne. For local treatment, use 100% Tea Tree Oil. You can purchase this from any drugstore.

I prefer neutrogena products, they work awesome. They keep my skin clear. My friend , who is a total nut, cuts those glow stick tubes and rubs that stuff from inside of them all over her face, she says that within 2 days all her blemishes are gone. I have never seen her with any pimples at all, but Im sure that its extremely dangerous to use, I don't know why she does lol.... Try egg white facials too. Beat and egg white and leave on your face for 5 minutes. Good luck!

There are many cheap and effective home remedies for acne. Tomato slices, turmeric, papaya juices and home made face packs will treat existing pimples and prevent further problems. More remedies at http://www.wellnesstalk.org/acne.html

I had very bad acne when I was at he ages of 9-12. What you need to do is see a Dermatologist and keep going till they prescribe you "Acutane".
This is possibly the only way you can have the "Clearest Face", "Glowing Complexion", "No Big Pores", "Smooth Face", "No more bumps on your nose" and "NEVER HAVE TO WORRY ABOUT ACNE AGAIN!!!!!!" ~~~HIPPIE!!!
If your desperate ACUTANE IS YOUR LAST SOLUTION!! -- It's the strongest acne medication out there ------->
