My junk mail box has been getting filled up with this strange insensible spam. It doesn't advertise anything--and most resembles an incoherent blogger, but the email address it comes from is different everytime. Here is a sample of the spam text:

"Advanced get rss updates utilities. Chapter on the web.
Produces high quality for technical divers.
Dvd video deepsea produces high quality.
Shields your, games internet tools?"

Does this make any sense to anyone? Does anyone know where this sort of thing comes from?

Sometimes spamming programs are designed to send out random emails with junk in them to "test the waters". The script is designed to send out this junk and, if the email doesn't get bounced back for an invalid email address fault, the script lists that email address as possibly being valid.

If I were you, I'd get a better spam filter. Not much else you can do.

whatever you do, don't respond!

it's a technique that spammers use to get you to reply, so they know that you are likely to read the real spam.
