Washington: "Foreign entanglements are best avoided altogether. Now you have a long, difficult, and painful course. I was pretty good at it, if I may say so, but that was here at home."
Roosevelt: "Well, times have changed, and we have to watch the rest of the world, but I don't understand this: In my day we were an oil exporter, and you say that there's lots of oil off the California coast you could pump without much difficulty. And the oil in Alaska that you're not touching! And George, I really think you had a couple more years to manipulate public opinion before you actually invaded."
Lincoln: "I dislike to allow the impression that we Republicans are sticking together on party lines, but I don't see the problem. You have no New York riots like I had, and you've lost 3000 troops in 3 years. I could lose 30,000 in a single battle. I wrote my own speeches, but I think you should improve yours and you could garner more support."
