Castrol would probably kill it and the mother. If you meant castor oil, it is going to be harmful to the mother.

Castor oil cannot hurt the baby. There is a myth about meconium going into the amniotic fluid (that the oil makes baby poop in the water) which is untrue.
However I do not think you should do it because it poses a risk of dehydration and 36 weeks is too soon to be trying to go into labor things will start happening soon and baby is not considered term until 37 weeks. The dehydration causes contractions and stimulates the bowels and makes you have diarrhea... when it's all over you are exhausted and completely drained of fluids so if you were to go into labor it would be terrible on you.

I think castrol is a type of automotive oil or something. Why would you be taking that? If you mean castor oil, I wouldn't take that either. It can cause the baby the have a bowel movement while still in the womb which is just a reason for infection. Either was castrol or castor... refrain from both!

36 weeks is a wee bit early to even begin to think about self induction. Castor oil MAY or MAY NOT work, depending on your system, your cervical dialation, and the baby. I am 38 weeks along and have done the whole castor oil thing now for a week off and on.....well here I sit still big fat and pregnant. it did NOT harm my baby, in fact it hasn't even harmed me, no mad dashes to the bathroom or anything of the sort, it starts contractions, and then they fade away as soon as I fall asleep or go sit and rest. I did it with my 2nd child and it worked like a charm. Every body, Every baby, and every pregnancy are different. What works for some will not work for others. Hang in there you only have a couple more weeks to go. I feel your suffering tho TRUST ME!

Castor Oil is from the Castor bean... it is not recommended. You run the risk of the baby pooping in the womb. And there is no guarantee it will work.
I tried it at 39 weeks... it was revolting, but I took three swallows... and within half an hour was on the toilet. The idea is that the contractions of pushing the poop out will trick your body to start contractions. It didn't work for me... I delivered a week later.
36 weeks is too early... if you get desperate wait until after 37 weeks

If you mean Castor oil. Stay away from it. Babies are supposed to be in for 40 weeks for a reason and all Castor oil will do is give you massive explosive diarrhea and give the mother dehydration.
Why are people always in a hurry to get their babies to come out before they should? Be grateful that your baby is still in there and will be healthy. The last four weeks are when a baby practices learning how to suck so they can eat. Leave the baby be! Geez!!

If you mean castor oil, the answer is yes. It *can* induce labor and 36 weeks is still a bit early, full term is 37 weeks. It can also cause horrible abdominal cramping and diarrhea which can dehydrate you and send you to the hospital.

Castor oil?
Why are you trying to induce labor at only 36 weeks? You are still considered premature at this gestation. DO NOT do anything to induce your labor!!!!!
Castor oil will make you VERY uncomfortable and run to the bathroom. It may or may not start real labor. It could also make baby pass his first BM in the womb, which can be dangerous.

Yes castrol oil is for cars!!!!
http://en.wikipedia.org/wiki/Castrol
CASTER oil is what you use to induce labour
http://en.wikipedia.org/wiki/Caster_oil
And 36 weeks is premature, and even at term using Caster oil increases the chances of meconium and can cause too strong contractions leading to fetal distress.
