I'm a Mongolian and I want to know what people from other countries know and think about Genghis Khan. A good answer will be awarded 10 points.

Genghis Khan was a spectacular leader. His command and control of cavalry has probably never been equalled. He was also capable of strategic co-ordination beyond anything else before electronic communication. Genghis Khan was also exceptionally able and ready to learn. His adoption of Chinese siege machinery and tactics made the rest of his conquests possible. The fact that he could transport this equipment across Asia demonstrates unbelievable logistic planning.
Of course the downside is the random and brutal slaughter of anyone who got in his way, but no one is perfect.

Genghis Khan, a well-known Mongol leader, was known for his brutality. He formed a huge Mongol army and was the first person to unite the warring Mongol tribes. He did not rule China, unlike his grandson, Kublai Khan, would.
Oh, and in response to Candles, I believe that "Khan" is not their family name, but rather, the Mongolian title for "emperor" or "ruler."
