He may just be one of those people that have to do try and do everything first. It may not be that he is intentionally saying oh I am going to get this first but once he hears of what you are doing then because he thinks that you are a cool person, he wants it too and does it immediately even before you get the chance. Best way to solve it don't tell him first. Let him find out after you have whatever it is that you are saving for and etc.

I know that someone copying you is the worst thing in the world, and also the most annoying thing. But if you think about it, the only reason they are copying you is because they admire you so much they want to do everything you do so that maybe they can be like you one day. So deep down inside, your friend probably admires you but just won't say it or admit it. Ignore it, and after a while your friend will probably realize that copying their role model isn't going to make them into one.

He looks up to you. I thought that was a pretty good idea. Tell him about something "cool" but not that you "want."
He's also jealous and needs to be the center of attention. If you don't want to lie to him, you could just stop telling him about the stuff you want and are saving up to buy.
Good luck.

he either admires you a lot or is deeply insecure and doesn't want you to appear better off than he is. i wouldn't throw the friendship away but i would be a little more reserved about somethings so he won't have the opportunity to steal the limelight all the time. just press pause when you are about to divulge certain details of you activities and things should be cool.

Sounds like he's jealous because you're more of an individual than him. He's just got a little more growing up to do, don't sweat it. I don't have a whole lot of advice for you though. I guess just don't tell him about new stuff you're looking into, then he can be the copy cat!

He is not sure of himself. You should be proud that you have such a fan of your style, but trust me, I know how annoying it is! My suggestion is to keep your clothing opinions to yourself and if he gets really clingy, try telling him you are saving to buy a really ugly outfit. When he shows up at school with it, you can smile to yourself knowing that you can go and by the outfit you really want and that your mime is fashion challenged!

Sounds like maybe he looks up to you or envy's you in some way. Consider your self lucky that someone wants to be like you. It's the best compliment you will ever get!
Stop telling him before you do things.

the dudes a biter...
he thinks that you will be cool for doing something and he tries to beat you to it...
you should try to teach him a lesson so maybe one time you could say something like "tomorrow im gonna wear pink leather pants" and obviously you shouldnt, but he probably will.
he will look like a fool for doing what you said and then he will stop

That's the worst. I don't know why it happens, but my roommate does this thing where we shop together and she'll like the same shirt I pick up, ask if she can buy it and then ALWAYS wears it first, plus she's teeny tiny with big boobs and looks better.

He is JEALOUS!!! If he does that then he just wants to be more popular than you. Just don't tell him anything you do now. When you get a haircut then don't tell hi. Keep it a secret.
