I am trying to figure out what the title of the book about meat packing in the early 20th (????) century. I think that it was called "The Jungle". Is this right?

yes, it is called the jungle. it was written by upton sinclair in the late 1800's, i do believe 1889, about the horrors of chicagos meat packing plants. back then, there were no sanitization codes, so lots of interesting things happened in the factories. oh my!

As far as I know, it is called "The Jungle." My political science teacher mentioned it once this year and we read a portion of it in my US history class last year.
