I have unplugged things, switched outlets and it still says this? Any ideas?

It is possible that your battery is not seated correctly or is no longer capable of holding a charge. If that is the case because there is no alternate source of power from the battery your laptop will presume that your battery is low and notify you accordingly.

I would try removing and re-inserting the battery.

Normally you should work with the lap top connected to outlet power. visit the site at http://fixit.in/laptopbattery.html and check if you can get any information that you are searching for...!

i think it might be because one of the plugs is loose or maybe the laptop can't detect the outlet.

Maybe one of the cords is not plugged in fully.
