I have lived in what used to belong to my boyfriends grandmother when she passed away the house was given to him I never knew her but I'll tell you a little about it. The first time I think I seen her I was actually going to scare my boyfriend by popping out on him as I went upstairs I seen this white misty figure just standing there in the darkness it was there for 30 seconds when it disapeared and I heard a woman laugh in my ear it scared me so bad I didn't go back upstairs for 7 years luckily this house is so big living downstairs was easy 2 years ago I decide there really was no difference since I heard things all the time such as music, footsteps upstairs I'd put things down to come back and they were gone and find them in rooms I was never in and the televisions will change channels like I guess she watched certain soap operas and it took me a minute to figure it out but everyday I'd be watching tv and the channel would go directly to her favorite soap so do you think it's her.

The reason I know her favorite soaps is because she has a video collection of them as a matter of fact we have a library of movies here that she recorded probably over 1,000 video cassettes

No, I don't believe it's her. I do, however, believe in hauntings and that there can be other things in the house, such as angels or demons. CHances are, it's a supernatural scare tactic. If you believe in something, it's much easier for it to affect you than if you deny its existence. It's obvious that you had alot of fear concering this situation. Just remember that fear is False Evidence Appearing Real. The less attention you give to the situation, the less it will bother you.

You'll find that the more you tend to believe and sympathize with these sorts of views, the more real they become to you. While I can stand on a pretty solid platform and say that supernatural occurrences (including hauntings, spirit visits, spiritual experiences, divine inspiration, etc) simply do not happen, it could certainly be understood why people think such things.

If you are truly concerned about this experience that you have had, try the following:

Step 1: Calm your mind. This can be done by meditation, slow breathing, or some other form of relaxation.

Step 2: Tell yourself that things like this cannot happen. Embrace the rational point of view.

Step 3: Now that you are calmer, and infinitely more reasonable, enter the same situation once again. You will discover that nothing is there.

The supernatural realm is a creation of the human mind, and such things cease to exist at the very moment that one stops believing in them.

sure, it's possible.
on another subject: you've been dating this guy for over 7 years?! and no marriage?! how come? sorry, but you said that you didn't go upstairs for 7 years. just wondering.
back to the subject...i think you have a haunting! as long as she's not being mean, you're fine. she might like you, and be happy you two are together.

There are no such thing as ghosts.
There is absolutely no verifiable evidence of any ghost, anywhere. And- certainly no human that has been come to be harmed by any such spirit.

However- through your own brilliant imagination, you could scare yourself to death.

If she is and as long as she's there anyways, maybe you could slip her a few bucksand have her do some housecleaning for you. I mean it must be boring just roaming around for all eternity.

Okally, dokally, is very cute, but you are still delusional. There are no evidentiary showings of ghosts; ever.

When people die they go away. However, people through the power of their imagination and their will, can create ghosts where none existed.
