who is the better midfielder and why?
i say pirlo because
he's italian
he has amazing skills,
speed,
amazing free kicks
curves the ball nicely

Both are great skillful players but i believe that Andrea Pirlo I the more effective player. He preformed better on the big stage of the World Cup, he can curve the ball beautifully for a free kick, he is also great at crossing the ball into the box for one of his teammates. He is not a selfish player like most soccer players these days. But it is also difficult to compare the two Players because they play different positions in the midfield. I hope i have answered your question.

It's hard to say.. As a complete player I'd say Pirlo but if your looking for a guy that will show incredible technical ability and speed it's C.Ronaldo. Complete players are always the best, Pirlo.

How old is Pirlo? Is it fair to compare these two?
Pirlo has amazing skills and speed, but so does Cristiano - even though he is much younger!

Why you compare Andrea Pirlo with C Ronaldo? Indeed they're both midfielder but in different positions. It would be perfect if you compare Andrea Pirlo with another central midfielder or playmaker the likes of Juninho, Xavi Hernandez, Deco, Riquelme, Aimar, Rafael Van der Vaart, Thomas Rosicky, Aliaksandr Hleb, Frank Lampard or Stevie G.
But for your Qs I'll say Pirlo away much better, he plays greatly as deep playmaker. His freekicks are amazing, and the most important he's not a weeping boy!!!!

i think christiano ronaldo is better now. he plays such a pivotal role in his club now. pirlo is good as well, but i haven't seen him play that much. ronaldo can win games on his own i think, but pirlo is more of a playmaker, to assist the team with his accurate passing

I am italian so i would say Pirlo. Ronaldo is great but he is over-rated. If i was not italian i would still say Pirlo for his speed and great shots.
