I know that this sounds like a dumb question, but I just always hear ppl. say about skinny women stuff like "oh, she's built like a little boy" or "she has a guy-shaped body" and one woman I know said about another woman, who happens to be very thin, "she's so skinny she could be a transvestite". I think being thin is neither masculine nor feminine, it's just a quality that some people can be described as having. I too am thin and am very girly and feminine-looking, but it just seems like people associate being "fat" or voluptious with being womanly, curvy, fertile, etc., and these comments about skinny women make me think "Is skinny masculine to other people"?

I'm attracted to thin/skinny women in general. To me they are hot...I enjoy being able to put my arms around her with ease. I'm speaking about a size 3-8 in womens pants. I can tolerate a size 12, but prefer smaller ;).

Ha! Have you taken a look at TV and magazines lately? Thin is in.

Me personally, I don't think it's a masculine or feminine quality. It's just a body type.
But... I'll admit that when I think of "skinny," I usually see a woman because women are generally smaller than men.

To answer your question I will say that I am size 5 now in jeans. When I was a teen I was anorexic I lost down from a size 7 in juniors to 16 in kids jeans. Though I thought I was still fat,...everyone else saw me as too skinny. I don't think it makes one look masculine as much as I believe it makes one look unhealthy. Even as an adult I still find myself struggling with this. I sometimes catch myself wanting to loose weight. And I don't need to. Most people prefer some weight on a person as it seems to make them look more healthy.

I dont find thin attractive... but some people can't help it. one of my old friends was bones and skin.... but she ate like a horse, it was just her.

They compare womanly shape to curves etc, but yeah in the media these days being stick thin is how everyone wants to be.

but no i dont think skinny looks masculine. but having more meat is more attractive

From my viewpoint a masculine guy places an emphasis on his typical self. By this I imply developing facial hair and frame hair, the bearish appear. Body dimension has not anything to do with it and character has approximately 20% to do with it (whilst he isn't a queen or flamer).
