No way.
It's a "cure looking for a symptom" as my hubby (who IS cut) puts it.
It's an totally cosmetic procedure and there is no reason to do it.
Teach good hygeine and teach safe sex practices and that covers all the "medical reasons" for circumcision.
The AAP recommends AGAINST it being done as a routine procedure.

Yes. I have three boys and they were all done. We are expecting another and if it is a boy I will have it done to him too. I know that it is not necessary but it had it done because of cosmetic reasons and also because when a child hits puberty it is already a confusing time and being uncircumcised will make it even harder. I see so many teens and men who want it done at their older age when there is more chance for infection and the procedure is more painful. I don't want to be vulgar but in middle school I remember a child who was not circumcised and was seen by other boys in gym class, after that was called turtle neck every day. It was terrible and an embarrassing situation for him. Other children considered him different. Sad but true.

i have one son who isn't circumsized and i have a boy on the way who won't be either. neither of my brothers were and there's nothing wrong with them. i think the only issue at all is that my boyfriend (and father of all three of my kids-we have a girl too) is cut, and the little ones will one day ask why they look different than daddy, but i'm prepared to deal with that. i believe it should be my boys' decision if they want it done when they're older.

Nope.
There's no reason to do it. If they're shown how to clean it, they can. If they're told that it's THEY who are normal, not 'everyone else', they won't feel so weird. Plus it's painful. How otherwise doting parents can rip a chunk of skin off their baby boy's privates is beyond me.
If it's required by your religion ... well, I'm not religious. But that's the only reason to do it that I can think of.
My fiance was circumcised and, aside from the normal feeling that a boy should 'look like him', he agrees with me. He's gained nothing from it.

My son is due any day now and I do plan to have him circumsized. It just seems cleaner and healthier in my opinion.
-------------
Added: I just did a little online research about this and it seems there truly are NO benefits to having a circumcism which now puts me on the fence about it. I guess I have something else to think about now and decide on quick cause my little boy will probably be her tm!
But hey, thanks for opening my eyes to the situation, I guess circumcism was all I knew!

If i have a son i will have him circumcised. My husband and i discussed this when i was pregnant with our first child, my husband is not circumcised and he says that an uncircumcised penis is more difficult to keep clean and your more likely to get an infection under the foreskin. I didn't really feel one way or the other about it and its one decision i left up to my husband. I'M pregnant with our second child and we should be finding out the sex soon

I was going to, because my father is Jewish.
Luckily I smartened up before I had a boy. Many Jews no longer circumcise, in fact, not all of them ever did.

I didn't circumcize my son. I couldn't find any real good reason to do it. Also, i figured that if I were to change my mind later on, or if he were to be unhappy with my decision later on, it's easier to get circumcized later than to undo a circumcision.

I am never going to have a child, it is a choice I made 35 years ago and still do not have a child. I do not want to be responsible for makeing more people in an already overcrowded world. There isnt enough food, water or housing for the people here now, so dont add to the problem.
If my Girlfriend had a baby boy, its her choice to have the child, its her choice if she wants it mutilated.

I have 2 boys, both circumcised, they hardly even cried..do your 3 brothers remember getting circumcised because they normally do it right after birth and they shouldn't remember it...lol
