Tiger Woods is having a Gold Resort built there. They've made two made made islands that are shaped like a Palm Tree, and now I hear that they are going to built/make another island that is going to be in the shape of the World (with the countries and all) Is it expensive to go vacation there?

I Have Lived All My Life Here In Dubai, Its The Only Emirate In UAE that does not depend upon Oil, Its main source of income is tourism and overseas investment. In order to attract people from all over the world, Dubai has to offer something extravagant, the answer to this are these amazing projects, the Palm Islands, The World, Burj Dubai, Dubai Land etc.

Its Not Really Expensive if you are coming from USA or the Europe, but if you are from an average income family from the Asian Sub Continent, you might find a slight pinch on your pocket, but then again, its a new country that you are visiting, & believe me its worth the pinch (on your pocket !!)
Hope to See You Soon.

They are a very popular tourist location for extremely rich and successful people from all over the world, especially Europe. They have beautiful weather and natural surroundings, are a stable government and have a wealthy and educated populatoin. Their best known for their tourism among the rich and famous. So they invest heavily in tourist promotion and site-seeing. I'm not sure how much it costs to vacation there, but assuming that it is a little high because it was made famous as a resort for the rich and famous, royalty, business execs, etc.

Why? Because the ruling leaders are intelligent to the fact that the oil will not last forever. And the sooner you establish yourself with other attractions and sources of income, the brighter the future will be on a piece of mostly desert land. Establishing tourism, finance and commercial importance in the region when others are still sitting on their rears will put them in the lead with well established economical foundations when oil becomes history.
If you think it's expensive now, think again! It will only get more expensive as all those grand projects come to pass.

Yes. Dubai is the playground of the rich, and it is extremely decadent. They don't just have island shaped like a Palm Tree. They have hundreds (maybe thousands) of weird man made islands in all sorts of strange shapes. There is even a timeshare community (smallest condos go for more than $1 million) built on islands designed to look like a map of the world. The world's richest people are flocking there to hobnob and lie on the beach sipping champagne.

Dubai has been earlier than the curve for a protracted time. we are only examining it. Do you remeber Ali Baba and the fourty thieves. properly wager what. That tale originated from Dubai. between the main cutting-side Emirate the two financially and bodily. once you could created a ski village interior the midst of the wasteland this is cutting-side. i could somewhat % to possess a house over there. this is usually the place all and sundry is going for R&R in Iraq. All those contractors are leaving there money over sea in supplies in dubai -- that's the recent Palm coastline or Riviera.

I'm not sure about the first, but for the latter it really isn't that expensive.

My friend just moved there to pursue some crazy career and he LOVES it. He's sent me lots of pictures and I'm pretty awe-struck and jealous. He lucked out by having a friend who is a resident there where he could crash until he found a job.

It's just one of those places that are booming right now...

They are developing Dubai as the center of tourism activity in the far east..... that is why they are developing it to the maximum.... but i think the underlying problem they would have is... their oil reserve is already almost to the limit... thats why they need another alternative to ear money....
