I love that movie. One of the best of all time. The most emotional part of the entire film to me besides the obvious ending is where Stewart and the angel are in the graveyard and Stewart sees his brother's grave. He tells Clarence that his brother isn't dead he saved the life of all the folks aboard his ship at sea. Clarence tells him that all those people perished because Stewart wasn't there to save his brother when he fell into the water and drowned when he was a kid. That single scene to me sums up the entire movie as shows how each and every thing we do can have major repercussions down the line. Stewart of course really saved his brother, but "had he not" then a lot of folks would have died in the war some years later. Just a piece of trivia on this movie as well. The scene in the bar where Stewart goes to the bar and is sitting there and starts to cry was filmed in what was not supposed to be a final take. Only a practice run. Capra saw the film and loved Jimmy's acting so much that he knew he could never get him to improve on it so instead of having the camera "zoom in on him" as they were planning to do in the real filming. He took the first cut and simply "enlarged" it even though he knew that it would make it grainier doing so. When you see that scene and it appears to "zoom in on him" you can see the picture get grainier and that is why. So many wonderful message in that film and has to the the reason that even though it is a corny old black and white film it is still one of the most popular films of all time. Thanks for reminding me of this film and asking all the neat questions. I enjoyed everybody's answers as only could remember a few myself. :-)

Difficult option, there are such a lot of satisfactory ones to opt for from. But I will move with The Godfather (1972). The tale line used to be satisfactory, the movement, drama and man or woman progress had been similarly well. It is side historical past, side drama, movement and suspense all rolled up into one film. Honorable point out is going to Casablanca, the tale, the discussion and of direction Ingrid Bergman.
