Morning sickness SUCKS!! I had it horribly with both of my kids, I mean I lost all sorts of wieght during my first 4 months it was so bad and it lasted until I gave birth. Alot of people seem to say that ginger works wonders, I did not help me at all, also crackers did not help much. The only thing that worked for me was to chew gum. Just the chewing motion helped so much. I would give it a try. Any flavor helped me but get a new piece frequently. Any remember they say it is hereditary so if your mom had it for a little while, so may get lucky and only have it for a couple of months. Hope it helps and congradulations. :)

You will probably get 100 suggestions, but if you are going to have morning sickness, there isn't much that will help to actually avoid it. There are several things that you can do to lessens the symptoms. Soda crackers with 7-Up before you get up and around, sucking on a peppermint helps too. I always found that just drinking a little bit of some cold soda water and letting my stomach settle a little before getting up and about helped.

But basically you will have to find what works best for your system. Try some of the sensible suggestions you will get from experienced mothers and see what you can tolerate.

Good Luck and happy pregnancy!

It would be nice if that is how it worked. If you could do something to avoid it I would have done it for all 4 of my pregnancies. I had severe morning sickness each time. Nothing what so ever helped me, not even the prescription medicines from the Dr. Hopefully you just dont get sick.

The best way I found to avoid morning sickness is to get up later in the day. Anything past 12 should be good.

Snacking periodically throughout the day should help... Eat a light breakfast and if you feel sick just carry some crackers around with you and that should settle your stomach...Along with pepto Bismal or even applejuice... There really is no way to avoid morning sickness but there are things you can do to help it pass... Hope you feel better hun...good luck and I hope I helped...

no longer something helped me the two! I threw up from undesirable smells, while there wasn't any smells, while i became hungary, at modern-day after a small dinner, morning midday and nighttime. i became advised peppermint can help (even chewing a mint) or donning around a a million/2 a lemon (to sniff while nausea got here on). if that is undesirable you could ask your healthcare expert for a prescription, in Canada they provide Diclectin. that is secure, yet i've got heard does not make the MS pass away thoroughly, only make it greater valuable.

By not getting pregnant.=) Sorry, but this is something that is going to happen to MOST women. When I have morning sickness I eat some crackers. This doesn't help me EVERY time, but it does help somewhat.

There is no way to avoid it, but it can be made a little easier to tolerate by eating saltines to settle your stomach.

You cant avoid it, if you are going to get it, you are going to get it. Crackers would help if you do get it.Also get out of bed slowly and keep the crackers right there.
