My company is running a contest in which we get to name the theme for our 2007 annual convention in March. The theme ideas must be in by December 31, 2006. I need some help with this. The past themes have been "Partini time" "Pardi Gras" and "Casino night" I really want something original. Please help!

We host in home parties called "Romance Parties" or "toy parties" Once a year, the owner of the company has a convention called March Blast. We have been given the opportunity to name the theme for this year's convention but we only have until December 31st to do it. I need some help with this. The past themes have been "Partini time" "Pardi Gras" and "Casino night" I really want something original. Please help!

hmmm, seeing as James Bond has just been released do a 007 theme. The women can be bond girls and the men can be villains or 007's. You could have martinis and a few casino tables? You can all dress up smart for the event. What about a Rat Pack theme? You could have some singers there to entertain and you could all dress up really sharp. You could pick any decade and make a theme around that. For instance the 40's. You could have a big band a dance floor and dress up like soldiers from world war 2. Moulin Rouge theme. You could have dancing girls at that. Again the costumes would be wonderful, I don't know if you be alowed to do it, but you could serve absinthe = ) I mean the moulin Rouge is centred around a club isn't it. What about a Playboy bunny theme. If your company is just male, then you could hire some profesional waitresses to dress up in the propper corsets and ears.
Well there's a link below I just found, there are a few you could pick, good luck!
Oops! sorry I missed the convention bit I thought you meant party, but anyway you could apply one I suppose.

Drums of the World Unite.
Sign up a drum master, have drums and cowbells etc.....for every seat. The drum master will instruct each type of instrument to tap out a certain beat and tempo. They will then bring it all together for an amazing finale. This demonstrates how each section, although individual, can come together to make an amazing whole. If the aim of your company convention is to demonstrate how each department has a role in making the overall picture of the company rhythm this is a good example and it is a very energising experience for all involved.
I used this at an event for about 100 people of various backgrounds and ethnicity and it went down very well. It can be done for larger groups.
If team work is the aim of the convention this is a terrific example of how each team within the company plays a part in the wider picture and, ultimately, although each department may be working to the tune of a different drum they are all needed to make the whole company beat in harmony..

Umm well you can have a Back in Day Party. Totally self explanatory. Could be from the 60s, 70s, 80s or just open for all years. Serve stuff that ppl know fondly from the past years. Or you can a Winter Wonderland with snow and snow men and icicles create a we're-all-in-a-snowglobe feel! Or you can have a place theme like New York or London!
