The Bill of Rights was necessary, if for no other reason, than the promise of such a document assured passage of the Constitution by the 13 states.

Absolutely. First, the Constitution probbaly wouldn't have won approval without the Bill of Rights. Afterall, Jefferson and Madison were huge supporters. The Bill of Rights provides for the basic individual freedoms that we all take for granted each day, speech, religion, assembly, gun ownership, warrant searches, trial by jury, no cruel punishment, and the list goes on and is long. The Bill of Rights is the most important part of the Constitution to the individual citizens of this country.

The bill of rights was added to the constitution so the constitution would be ratified by the original thirteen states.

Yes & no. The bill of rights gives equal rights to all races &
religions. It's a shame the current administration is unfamiliar
with it.
The no part is for the right to bear arms. I live near Philadelphia
& there has been more than 375 gun related murders since
Jan.06. - Makes you wonder.
