I liked it, actually. I was planning to go see Borat, but they didn't have any showings at the time, so I went to The Nativity Story and it was good! These four nuns came into the theatre while I was watching it- and I talked to them later and they enjoyed it (of course!). Really, do go and see it, the cinematography was incredible, also it really gets you into the christmas spirit!
i rated it 3.5/5 stars.

I have heard good review from the everyday people. You know, the kind that doesn't have a film degree, just know what movies are interesting and enjoyable.
I have not talked to anyone who does not like the movie, even the people who can be adhd during movies were able to sit and enjoy it.
It challenges the idea of the "feel good" navity story, but shows an accurate discription. It has Biblical scripture in in it and also allows people to see the nativity in the society and contex in which Jesus was born.

Yes it is a good movie. it pretty much follows what the Bible has to say about Jesus' birth.
Just a note, the wise men were not present as depicted in the movie, they came along a year or so later. That is why Herod wanted all male children 2 years and younger to be killed.

the whole movie is about getting a man to suffer the most that a man can suffer and more... no english spoken either so you don't really get to see that much. I got bored after a while. Good movie for bible reading people

My niece saw it last weekend and I am going (hopefully) this weekend. She said it was really good. It is a unique version of the story of Mary, Joseph, and Jesus and she said everyone should see it...

No, It is too dramatic in a "teen-age drama" sense.
Like Nazareth 90210 or Joseph's Creek.
