Selanne is correct (Crosby is youngest to 100)

16. Most Points by a Rookie in one season.

Teemu Selanne: 132 Winnipeg Jets -1992-93

And Gretzky should be glad they counted WHA as his first year because they didn't count Howe's achievements there and if they did Howe would have a couple more records.

We'll have to wait and see what Malkin does this year as a rookie because he could take off but it might take him too long to realize that.

The official record-holder is Teemu Selanne. He scored 76 goals and 132 points in his rookie year. The unofficial record-holder would be none other than "The Great One" Wayne Gretzky. He notched 137 points in his first year, but was not considered a "rookie" because he had previously played inthe WHA.

Selanne is credited with the "rookie" record, while Gretzky holds the "first-year player" record.
