This was on the news show Channel 1 but I just felt like finding out what prople thought:

Should Christmas Trees be allowed to be displayed in public?

And if you think they should, should they be shown with other symbols?

Why or Why not?

-personally I think they should be allowed to be displayed in public because they aren't an example of Christian/Catcholic religion, in fact they have nothing to do with the belief in the Lord Jesus at all. It's just a fun symbol of the holiday season, not the religious holiday.

I think they should be able to. I also think that other religions holidays should be represented as well. I don't mean that for every Christmas Tree you have you need something for another holiday, but at least a single display. I personally am offended with most of the PC things that people are told to say. Everyone has a right to their own thoughts and expression, and if that means that an airport whats to put up Christmas trees, let them, if you don't like it don't support their business.

Yes, Christmas trees should be displayed, along with Menorahs and any other religious item from any religion.

The Christmas tree is a pagan thing, so the who thing is really pretty stupid but let's go back in history.

This country was founded due to religious prosecution, if we stop people from practicing their religion then we have turned into the reason people left their native countries.

If someone was to tell me Happy (insert your favorite holiday here) I would not be upset in the least, because they are telling me they want me to be happy in a way that they know. This is a compliment and it says they care.

I think we should stop worrying about political correctness and start encouraging people to celebrate their holidays in public. Ignorance is what creates fear and racism, making these events more public might help to decrease peoples fear.

Absolutely! Right along with Nativity scenes, menorahs or other religious holiday displays.
The 1st Amendment was meant to prohibit the formation of a national church & protect free religious expression, as well as free speech & a free press. Nowadays, the ACLU & their kind have basically turned this on its head. Surely, the Founding Fathers never intended to remove all references to God from the public square.

They should display the Christmas Tree, The Navity Scene and the Menorah in public places. Years ago they did this and people were fine with it nowadays people are taking God out of everything. Our Rights as a Christian or a Jew should be granted equal as non religous people and non church goer peoples.

Totally agree. Christmas trees come from europe somewhere where they were used as a aymbol because they kept their green color and pines in the dead of winter. I saw a story in which a rabii in Seattle wanted to remove a christmas tree from the airport lobby because there were no jewish candle things there. So they removed the tree and left the lobby empty. I hate liberals and political correctnes
