I went to the doctor on the 4th. I started noticing after that this thick stuff coming out of me. It was like white not discharge but possibly like thick discharge like really thick like it was sorta like Gak I dunno if you guys remember that stuff but it looked like Gak that toy that was like molding stuff that was shiny and you could make it fart. Anyways I just read that your mucus plug can come out in small amounts. But there wasn't any red or brown. Anyways do you think if more comes out I should save it and take it to the hospital or something?

It was an off white color...it came out like 3 or 4 times something like that. Its not anymore I'm just wondering what you think.

AND TO THE LAST PEOPLE THAT ANSWERED ACTUALLY THE SECOND LADY OF COURSE I AM PREGNANT OTHERWISE I WOULDN'T HAVE PUT IT IN THIS AREA DON'T BE A SMART ***.

I'm 30 weeks and 1 day.

That is definately your mucus plug coming out and it is off white and yellowish almost. doesnt have to have red or brown in it. mine never did. its very thick and gobby pastey almost. But yes that is your mucus plug. you are far enough along that it could happen now. Good luck! be sure to tell the Dr that it has been coming out.

It's a bit too early in the pregnancy to be losing the mucous plug. Also, it is usually accompanied by some bleeding. It sounds like you could have a yeast infection... or it could just be the increased discharge that's caused by increased hormones during pregnancy. Since it has stopped now I don't think it's anything to worry about. If it starts back up you might want to give your doctor a call. Best wishes!

Gak. Eww. Okay. Good description..."you could make it fart" and you're so serious. Bless your heart! Thanks for the chuckle...
but YES, that sounds to me like a geniune mucus plug. You could use it or never even have it and still you've just gotta WAIT for that baby to come down.
Congrats! Godspeed on a good delivery!!

No don't save it.

Some peoples mucus plug can come out in peices, or when in acutal labor or just randomly.

It isn't a big deal. It will come out sooner or later.

The closer you get to delivery the more reg. discharge you have anyways...

discharge gets really thick towards the end because your body is trying to make everything ready for labor....if it was your mucus plug then it would be stringy and maybe yellow (its doesn't have to have any blood in it, mine didn't)

good luck

i started experiencing it around 27 weeks with both my son and daughter. i'm now 23 weeks with #3 and am having it. my mom used to deliver babies (and has had 6 herself) and she says that so long as there's no cramping and blood with it, there shouldn't be any problem, just your (well, she was talking about me when she said it) body getting itself ready. with me having it so early this time, she says i need to be careful since it's so early, but i'm not cramping or anything, so i think i'll be okay.

anyway, it's normal. good luck
