It's still a bit early to say there are still free agent out there to be signed. However if I had to make a guess I would keep a very close eye on the Dodgers next year. Overall the N.L is weaker than the A.L, and the N.L west is there for the taking. The Padres, Giants, and Rockies, Diamondbacks have all gone backwards during the close season The Dodgers have plenty of pitching depth and a lot of young talent on the bench. Drew opting out of his contract will do them a favour also. So the Dodgers should have a well rested team come playoff time. There main opposition in the N.L will come from the Mets however they are now weaker in the bullpen, and have serious concerns with regards to the health of there starting rotation. The Card will rely on Puljols again to much. Other than that I can see no real challengers to the dodgers. The A.L will be a lot more competetive and harder to predict so I wil leave the answer about there representative in the series for another day.

I have no idea who's gonna win it, but all of the people saying the Yankees are a lock to win it really pissed me off.
Ok, since the Yankees are returning all their starters from last year, and because of this they are guaranteed to win the Series, why didn't they win the series this year? How come half their players went in slumps come playoff time? It's because the Yankees have a lot of inconsistent players. Yes, they do have a pretty good shot at winning, they do every year, but don't just assume they're gonna win it every year because they have so many big names.
And yea, Andy Pettite back, but he hasn't played well for 2 years, and how much of a difference will one guy make?

I am a huge St. Louis Cardinals fan, die hard, and I, of course, want to say the Cardinals! But as hard as it is to say I believe that the NY Mets will make a very strong bid to make the world series maybe against the NY Yankees. The Subway Series returns and this time the Mets won't roll over. Mets in 6.

im going to go on a limb and say the Atlanta Braves. im a Cardinals fan, but i dont know the status of the pitching staff currently (i hear mulder is going to go and maybe suppan?) and with izzys injury, i cant see them repeat, though id love for it to happen. the Braves now have a closer who can close and their bullpen should be alot better this year. If both jones stay healthy, i see them taking the wild card (mets win the division again) and winning it all. but these are alot of "ifs"

Of course it is the New York Yankees. They have got the whole team back. They have Andy Pettitte (who helped win 4 titles), they are going to get Roger Clemens, and their offense is full of great superstars. Give me the 10 dollars, cuz the Yankees are taking #27.
