Can you enlighten me, why CD;s (Music CD's ) are not covered by home insurance? After a fire in our home, where we tried to savage that is most presseuces to us, we been told we will not get reeimbursement from them. What else can I do? They are valuable only to me I guess.

The contents in cars are NOT covered on a homeowner's policy, and never should you leave 300 cd's,or anything else of value, in a car, I don't care what kind of alarm you have, you are just begging to have your things stolen.

As for losing things in a house fire, if you never included those precious belongings into the value on your insurance policy then they have no proof they existed.

Otherwise anyone who had a house fire could, for example, try to claim that they had a $100K VanGogh.

Bottom line, anything worth value should be itemized and included on your policy, or else, they are just like you said, only worth something to you.

Best of luck to you!

Try not leaving them in your car next time. They will not pay for anything stolen out of a car that is not attached. Prove you had 300 cd's in your car. You can't. Sorry!
