Anytime before christmas, mail takes forever to reach its destination. That's why, you should allow plenty of time ahead so that your letter or package will come on time. Philippine postal, together with USPS and Canada Post, are not super efficient, as these letters are not traceable. Some are lost in the letter bin or letter bags. These are due to human error. Intentionally or unintentionally, we really don't know. Therefore, as a rule, do not send anything valuable in the post office.

FedEx and other courier companies are quite reliable. But then again, quality is always equated with money.

How fast does it take to reach a letter to the Philippines? I should say, it depends on the time of the year. Not at this time.

Mabuhay!

Last time I sent something to the Philippines from US it took 4 weeks. Faster mail is available thru USPS but expensive. I don't know how realiable or honest Philippine Postal Service is but I've heard it can be looted of valuables or just"lost".. If it doesn't weigh to much try FedEx, they can normally get it there in about 3-4 days and is much more reliable....

If it is mailed before December, about 3 weeks. If mailed during December, about 4-5 weeks.

I suggest that you make your letters and cards as thin as possible.

I sent pictures via airmail, it never got to its recipients.

However, local mail (within the Philippines) will be delivered without any incident.

it depends on how remote the place you are sending.... normally give allowance at least a month for a package because it still goes to checks and costums and checking for a regular mail.... but if you want to have a "priority mail"... sometimes only 2 weeks..... i told you... it depends on how remote the location you are sending.......and YES... Philippines Postal Authority is dependable.... but this season (Christmas)... since there are a lot of people sending and they dont have that many staff..... just give time allowance to your letter or package...... good luck!!!

2-3 days No, Sundays do not count as no mail delivery but Saturday counts Well with EBAY it depends on when they actually mail it. Just cause you bought it - it doesn't mean it was mailed immediately. Check when it arrives - if it was sent PRIORITY it should have the PRIORITY TAPE on it or in a PRIORITY BOX. Otherwise it was not shipped as they said it would be shipped ~ ask for a refund of S&H costs.

It can take forever if you're sending regular during december - you have to send it priority. Also don't send any money with your mail or it won't get to its destination. I've sent a few packages to the philipines but they either get "lost" or stuff are missing. The chocolate boxes are already opened and only few are left. Really sad.

I've been sending packages by fed-ex, lately.
