what is the best way to get rid of ANTS?

Either:
1. cement up the hole
2. use that white ant killing powder; they apparantly take it to the queen who then dies, killing the colony
3. pour boiling water down the hole
Trying to step on them all just won't work! :D

open the nest and pour a kettle full of boiling water over them. If yo can't do that get some Nippon ant killer. You put smallish drops in there runways. They will stop and fill up with this stuff, because it is sweet. Then they take it back to the nest and spread it around in there. This a way to get them when you don't know where the nest actually is. You can watch them do this and they also tell other ants where to go to get this, then you can watch THEM drink some of it take back to the nest. Amazing to watch.It is a deadly poison to all ants. You need to figure out what kinds of ants they are and pick the appropriate type of eradicator based on their type. I have pharoah ants, carpenter ants, fire ants, and while a can of Raid would kill any of them on contact, you need something that specifically targets that type of ant and where they nest and how they nest. With fire ants, they have many mounds and a huge underground network. Getting rid of one ant hill does nothing to the main colony, they will just form a new ant hill somewhere in your yard.

i would suggest using ant powder, or any bug spray that claims to kill bugs.
Happened in my house, in the middle east, and about 2 shopping bags worth of dead ant bodies ended up in my porch after uing Baygon- but the ants returned in less than a month.
if you really want to end it- get a proffessional to fumigate (sp?) your house

Amdro its name of a product you sprinkle on ground on an all over nest they carry the stuff down to the queen an it kills them all. Keep checking the yard tho usually after a rain they show up.You can get the stuff at wallmart or any garden supply or nursery.

if its an ants nest outside use boiling hot water.
if inside there are a number of sparys you can usse for killing ants pop to your local suprermarket.

i like flushing them out just taking a hose and putting the hose in a hole the wter will rise and they will all be coming out. THats only delays them, what you have to do is dig and you'll keep on finding tunnuls little flushes here and there, then if you see the qeen squish her, in a few days all the ants will die without a qeen

u dont needs to kills them,as even them hav right to live as human beings and insects and animals we do depend on each other through ecosystem.so try to take kitchen ashes and pour on them and you will end ride them somewhere to stay>
be patients.as they are there for making the sand and other living organism in the soils.
