ok I'm 16, he's 16 and we've been friends since about 8th grade. We just talked once in a while at school. I'm in 10th grade now btw. We started becoming really good friends this year and now he's one of my best friends. We watch movies at my house and he always sits really close to me. he also comes over to play xbox. always comes up behind me and hugs me. picks me up. sits by me at lunch and before school even though he could be sitting by his guy friends. he also calls me about every other night just to talk and see what I'm up to. How do I know if he likes me more than a friend? Because I'm starting to really really like him.

I would think it is safe to say that he does. He is investing a lot of time in being with you so that is the first sign to knowing. I would just continue to be his friend. I have noticed on here that a lot of teenagers are trying to over analyze how the opposite sex feels about them. The whole dating thing should be natural and feel normal. If you really really like him then one day when he over at your house ask him if he has ever kissed anyone or something. That should open some doors for you. Or if he ever thought about what it would be like if you all were dating. If he freaks out then just blow it off and think about how you will deal with this attraction you have for him. If not then there you go.

i am 25. i have been a boy for a long time ( it seems anyway). a man, when he likes something, always spends time on it the most. if he is into cars, he spends a lot of time doing things wiith/about cars. same with him ladies. the lady he likes the best, he will spend the most time on. forget about money and nice things. not all guys are great at doing nice things, but they'll still spend time every chance you let them, unless responsibilities get in the way.

you have to start by asking him flat out, no matter how awkward. though honestly i think 16 is way to young for anything relationship related. Just think about gettting your own life situated and the person your supposed to be with will present themself. and you wont have to waste time like the rest of us.

It's a far better bet that if a guy and a girl are friends that the guy will end up liking the girl as more than a friend then that the girl will end up liking the guy as more than a friend. So since you're liking him as more than a friend, then it's likely he already likes you as more than a friend.

the question is-- does he love you?
and only he can answer that. while many people believe theres some sort of occult way to figure out if a person of the oposite gender loves you-- but there isn't. sorry.

try asking another friend if they know if he is intereseted in you
you could also ask him who he likes..just as you would to anyother friend..
if he says i dont wanna say..or something and smiles its a sure sign he likes you..
but if he does say he likes someone dont let it bother you..stay confident!
you could also tell him you like him..but most people are not brave enough to do this...but it is the best way to find out!
