How can I make some money? I want some Polos and Lacoste shirts like every else! I mean my dad doesn't like to spend money on clothes like that, so I need some ideas. I am 13, in the 8th grade and next year I am going to high school. Can I explain it to him? It is hard to explain stuff to him. Or should I find a job? I mean I don't want to enter high school wearing the same clothes repeatedly and wearing Wal-Mart clothes. I mean nothing's wrong with it. I get 10 dollars a week also, but I can never save it because I have to buy my own things like hair stuff, rubberbands and even when we go to fast food places. So please help me. I need all the opinions and comments possible.

Sell stuff that you make, like necklaces, bracelets, or earrings. Or buy stuff, and then sell it for a price a little bit higher than the price you bought it for, like candy, which sells easily at school. TRY AND SAVE THE MONEY YOU GET!!! Don't buy so much hair stuff (what would you rather have, a closet full of hair stuff, or a closet full of cute clothes? I think the choice is pretty obvious...), don't go to fast food restaurants so much, they're bad for your health anyways. An alternative could be to bring your own lunch, or to order the cheapest thing on the menu when you do have to go to the fast food place. Save all that money and spend it on clothes instead. If you save all the 10 dollars you get every week for three months, then you'll have $120 to spend on clothes! Plus the money you make from the stuff you sell! Imagine how many clothes you could buy with that money if you shop at unexpensive and high-quality places like Aeropostale, Forever 21, Target, JCPenney, Marshalls, Ross (which I HIGHLY recommend) etc., etc.,etc., instead of shopping at Polo, and Lacoste, which are VERY EXPENSIVE stores/brand names. You can get really good brand names for a lower price at Ross, if brand names is what you really care about. You don't have to wear Polo or Lacoste to fit in and be cool. Just as long as you look and feel good.
Talk to your dad about your concerns about your clothes and all the other kids, but be careful, you don't want to come off as selfish. Remember there are other things more important that your parents have to do with the money they earn. They have to pay the mortgage (or the rent), electricity, water, cable, etc., so make sure to let him know that you understand that, but that you want a little attention for yourself too.
If you take some of my suggestions you will be the best-dressed girl at school faster than you can say "wardrobe renovation"!

P.S: A job is not really an option yet, because you're only 13 and you need to be at least 14 to legally work anywhere. BUT, you could maybe babysit for a neighbor that trusts you, and get paid by the hour, or you could work for your parents, (like, helping them around the house or with some of their work stuff that you can help them with, and then get rewarded for it with money). Then when you turn 14, you can apply for a job at the mall or anywhere, and then you'll have more money!!!
But one last bit of advice: spend your money wisely. It is very hard to get money, so I think you should do prudent things with it. Plus, you can think of all this money-handling as a training course for when you grow up and have to choose how to spend your hard-earned money. I hope you get really good things out of this whole experience, besides nice clothes (LOL).

Umm well, your too young to get a permit (gotta be 14) but you can do smaller stuff like babysitting, odd jobs (mowing lawns, picking up prescription, grocery shopping for neighbors), or advertising. You might find something, but wait! You don't want to start your yrs of working so early if you dint have to! Plus trust me, you can get some shirts and jeans and accessories to match and look great! Start your own trend, be an individual. Just cuz u have a Lacoste shirt doesn't mean your automatically "in". Plus their pretty bland.

If you're too young to get a real job you can rake leaves or shovel snow for your neighbors. You can walk dogs or house sit for neighbors while they are on vacation. The best thing to do is babysit, you can charge 7-10 dollars an hour. Good luck!

the best way is to babysit and SELL JEWLERY lemonade stand in summer. maybe try to make some flip flops: just buy a pair and some kroshey thread then wrap it around the strap of the flip flop, make sure it is really tight and squished together and it will be your best ever try selling each pair for 5-10 dollars depending on the size

Suck it up girl! I had the same problem last year. Then I moved closer to my cousin and we wear the same size. Her mom spends craploads of money on her. She doesn't exactly shop at hot topic all the time, but I'm okay with that. Remember, you don't have to be a robot. Don't wear what everbody else is wearing cause its "cool". Me and my cousin share clothes, maybe you have a friend or something thats the same size as you. just dont be a baby about it and stuff.

get some baby sitting jobs. post adds around school or ask friends if they have a little brother or sister. also try seeing if your dad will pay you to do chores around the house. it will get you in shape and a lot of cash. i did that every weekend over the summer and now i have clothes from places like juicy and miss sixty. it was totally worth it. not to mention i lost 20 lbs and got amazing abbs

don't think too much about wearing exoensive clothes. It's not going to make you more popular or anything, just look expensive. Instead of polos and lacoste, buy from abercrombie or hollister, it's like half teh price but even cuter. you know things like that.
but if you really want to make money, get a job, though it's harder cuz you're not 16 yet....good luck sweetie!

Babysit! or sell your unwanted stuffs, used or new clothes/accessories/book/dvds..etc at Ebay. That's quick money.

Perhaps working at macdonalds? you can use the money to buy your lunch, and you save the rest. try this for a month?
