I have always played with older girls for basketball and this would have been the third year in a row. The older girls love me playing for them since im pretty good and can set them up with good shots. This year there is a new coach though, and he randomly choose another girl to play instead of me. She thinks i should be playing but doesn't want to say anything. Everyone else expects me to play so when I go to their games everyone asks me why aren't you playing and it is like really hard for me. They do this because it is a samll school and everyone knows my ability. So one night i called him wanting to know if i was going to play. So he tells me he is going to rotate all the younger girls in and out. He was lying to me though. Now my friend who also plays is going away and he wants me to play. I really want to since sports is my passion. I'm not sure what i should do!!!! HELP PLEASE!!!!!!!!!!!

If you are telling the truth and say that you are very good, you should practice in front of the coaches' eyes. Then, he'll figure out how good you are and if he's sane enough, he'll let you play on the team. That is my way of putting this problem to an end. (Grinning)

You were fortunate enough to have great situations in the past. Cherish them.
Now face that you have a bad situation and cope with it. Do you want to play? Yes, it sounds like you do and he's offered you a chance. Take it and show him what you can do.
He's the coach, so you need to figure out what pleases him. You did it before without being aware of it. You can do it again.
There's so much in life that sucks that when something good comes along, intensely enjoy it because it won't last.

If the coach is new--it will take him time to establish who are the best players--give him a chance--
If you are an underclassmen there will be time for you to be the star of the show!

So?
He says you can play. Go ahead and play.
Keep in mind that he's a NEW coach, so he's not familar with your ability. It's possible that he's just trying to be fair to everyone.

Sometimes in life you have to give up your pride to do something you really love to do. Just do what feels right.
