There is this pit bull down the street, Sally, and she keeps pooping in my yard and chasing my cat. Whenever I see her doing this, I run up and hit her. She whimpers and runs off, but comes back the next day and does it again.

You need to be very careful of her if she is a pit bull. We've had several pit bull attacks here in the Houston Texas area that has resulted in death.

Maybe she secretly likes it. Or is waiting for the right moment to strike back. Never under estimate a pit bull. One hint of advice though, they are very afraid of loud noises, bang some pans next time she comes near, she might take the hint.

Thats horrible to hit a dog. The only reason shes there is because she smells the cat in the yard.

Even ifthe dog is pooing in your yard- if somebody reported you for hitting her, charges could be pressed against you. I don't think you are ballsy enough to hit a pit bull anyway.

There is a hint that most people do for dogs on their yards. All you have to do is fill up a milk plastic jugs with water. Several and just sit them out on your yard. They will stay away.
