I know discipline is paramount, but I'm not sure about DISAPLINE.

Did your child name it lunar jim?

IT IS AMAZING HOW MANY PEOPLE THINK THIS IS SERIOUS

I can't honestly believe that someone would do this, and I sincerely hope that this was a joke post. If so, thanks for being bored enough to put this up, but it totally wasn't funny. If you are serious, and you did kill your daughter's dog, I hope you seek out professional help, and SOON. You daughter is three years old, for crissakes. All three-year olds have times when they won't eat dinner and go through phases when they just eat one thing and nothing else. THAT'S NORMAL! I don't believe that killing your dog is within your rights, especially if your dog didn't do anything. I might be able to see you having to kill the dog if it attacked you or your child, but just because the kid didn't eat dinner? What sick planet are you from?! If your spouse lives with you, I surely hope that they had some choice words for you that I can't post here myself because they won't show up. In addition to that, I want to know why you got your daughter a puppy if you weren't too keen on dogs in the first place.
Once again, I hope this wasn't a serious post. Really, I do.

My hope is that you're kidding about killing the dog. As others before me have stated, it's cruel as well as against the law. And others have mentioned the long term emotional damage this could cause a child.
Perhaps your question should've been in the parenting section. Getting young children to eat is a rather common problem. Many experts agree that you should make many healthy foods readily available to your child, but not force them to eat. I'm not sure discipline over dinner is a good enough reason to kill anything, cause long term emotional damage, or a possibly cause an eating disorder.

Ok so she didn't eat her dinner. Why not just stop her sweet supply that always works with my son. Killing her Dog! Seriously why would you do that! ?That's not discipline! She will be just plain scared of you!!This experience Will scar her for life! and not teach her anything other than killing is right if ppl don't do as they are told. Say when she gets older she goes out and kills cause someone didn't do as she told them! Lessons for life are taught through discipline. To put her dog in a bin liner. Do you have no respect? That's not exactly dignified. You could have just sent the dog to a better home if you didn't like him.

I am so impressed with the way you handled this situation---NOT NOT NOT !!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!! You rank up there with Jack the Ripper and Charles Manson and guess where they eventually went and where will they end up?? That's right locked up and Hell--What do you think your child is gonna remember about you ??Humm oh ya that punishment is loosing the things you love --maybe someone will pick up on that and you will just be put in the corn--Hummm what do you think??the only thing that is gonna save your lousy rear end is that when your child realizes what a insensitive worthless individual you are the love will be gone FOREVER and then no matter what you do to them you wont be able to hurt them --by the way did you tell your child what you did or were you gutless and make up some cockamamie story how puppy ran away---

Dude, wow. I can't believe what I'm reading. I feel not only bad for that poor innoscent dog but also for your little girl. Some wiring must be loose up in your head because I don't know any normal men who can take a small helpless animal and kill it. What's to stop you from killing small children...maybe your kid?

Disipline is paramount? That statement makes me wonder what abuse you bestow upon your family. This is very very extreme and cruel way to teach a child disipline. The mother of that child, should get that child away from you before you damage her any further.

If you're this sick lady, then there is absolutely no hope for you and the very same should be done to you and since you have this kind of mentality I can't imagine what your poor child will go through in the future. Do mankind a favor and seek help immediately. If I knew who you were I'd turn you into the Humane Society and call CPS for your child.

Hopefully someone from one of the animal welfare societies will see this and you will be prosecuted. No you do not have the right under any circumstances to dispose of any animal.Only a qualified vet is allowed to do so but not for such a pathetic reason as you have given. No doubt your three year old will get her own back when she grows up., and it is unlikely to make her eat something she clearly didn't want.

you are sick in the head. someone should turn you in and discipline you the same way. i hope you have nightmares for the rest of your life. ever heard of time out? at that age you can hold your child gently... for 3 min. a pet is like your child. they love you unconditionally and without reserve, they are totally dependent on you just like a baby. anyone that could be cruel to an animal could be cruel to a child. god help your child who's next the kid? go get your head checked you sicko. and may your death be long and sufferingly painful

Animals are not like cockroaches. You don't just stamp them out.Anyway.This is obviously you making a joke.Nobody could be that sadistic to both their dog and to their child. If it isn't a joke, then what happens next. Do you let it out on your child next time.Sicko you are whether you did or not but just for writing this.

umm this might not be what you would want to hear but your child be too young be too perfect. Give yur child at least a few more chances then threaten to give the dog away. But u should not kill a dog. Becuase the dog will be in great pain.
