Actually does the Beaumont society not have a booklet or support groups for family and friends of transgendered, and crossdressers. I think they do. I know the two groups are different but that does not mean the stress is'ent on the loved ones. Try the web to find them they also have a magazine, you may have to become a member to get the reassurance you seek, as discretion is required (obviously you already know that).
Hope that helps.

Hey there, yeah there really aren't any resources even for you on the internet, it seems its one of unpublicised things I guess.
Of course there are other children who are going through and have gone through what you have and I am sure it was very difficult but it probably shaped you into a stronger person. I put some sites here, they might help, no statistics though.
Good luck!

I wish I knew of some group or something to offer you. I have no experience with it either, so I can't be much help. All I can say is that I feel for you because it seems that you have a full plate to deal with. I get what your saying though, there must be something out there for you for support. Good luck and stay strong!

One of my friends married a woman who used to be a man with a couple of kids, one adopted, one biological. It's tough, but it's not as rare as you think. Transexuals are about 1 in 10,000 people, and of course some tried to deny it in themselves and married and had kids. Search around on the net, I'll bet you can find others like you. If not, a sympathetic counselor might help.
Sorry you had to go through this: I'll bet your Dad wishes he was different, but I'll also bet he's glad he had you.

Can't say I have. Wow, my life seems amazing now, when I think about it (not saying that to make you feel crap). Interesting issue though. Good luck. :-)

Where are you. Try the Beaumont Society who are based in the UK but I'm sure they can point you in the right direction.
