Did you spend $12 on a type IV cassette, when you could have spent $0.30 on a CD and saved yourself $11.70? Or did you buy type II tapes, and you need a new stereo. Either way, CDs are a lot better. They're cheap, take up less space, and SOUND BETTER!
Okay, I have heard the argument about compressed vs. uncompressed digital music, and Records verses CDs as far as tonal quality, but never the discussion about tapes being better than CDs. The white noise has gone, we get clearer sound all the way around, hi, mid, and lo.
CDs are more convienient with tracks and the ability to put additional data on them, such as that found on Enhanced CDs. Music can be transferred as data very efficiently, while a tape has to be done in real time.
Then you consider time. How long would it take you to make an hour long mixtape? 60 minutes, right? Unless you did high-speed dub, okay, then 30. I can make a mix cd in just 5 minutes or less. When I'm getting ready to go somewhere, I can click burn after making a playlist, and the CD will be ready before I am!
Also, aesthetically speaking, a CD can be made to have a continuos flow. When designing a Tape, you have to worry about Side A and Side B, and which songs go on each side.

They are perfectly fine if you prefer them, but people do like to access music from the computer (don't give me MS crap, I prefer Linux). I remember back when computers used cassettes... They were so much slower than cd's for data backup. Just remember, keep the magnets away from the tapes... or your hard drive... or floppies.

actually they do suck. they wear out a hundred times faster and also add a lot of noise to your music. cds give you much better sound. if they didn't we all would still be doing the dumb thing you are. backing up music on tape

that would contain sticking a cd with a cord on it into your cd stress and then spinning it.. would that be achievable? didnt imagine so.. what you need to even with the reality that's take an old set of head phones and decrease off the area that is going on your ear.. then hook that end as a lot as your audio gadget utilizing some extra cord.. also you would favor to hook one end on your ipod.. which will be basic.. i dunno why human beings even purchase tape deck stuff..
