He's probably just goin through sometin wait for him to get over it and if it goes on a little longer than you think it should then tell him and if he still doesnt respond then you can ditch him.

First you should ask him if something is going on. A lot of guys cover up their emotions with anger. He may be feeling vulnerable right now and is taking it out on you. He may also be depressed as with-drawling from friends could be a symptom. Give him time and be a friend to him. If he continues to be a jerk, don't let him bring you down and drop communication with him.
