South Park is just a po-dunk white bread hillbillie mountain town. Their school mascot is the Cows. Most people in town didn't get past elementary school. That's why the elementary school events are so important. The best episode is when the fair comes to town, so much is going on there. Mr. Garrison finally comes to terms with Mr. Hat and Mr. Twig. Cartman thinks he's a Vietmanese prostitute. Ned and Jimbo have to deal with mass cow suicide. And who could forget Shenanigans being called on the carnies.

Yes. The school teams and mascot is a cow. They are the South Park Cows. Watch a few episodes, and especially the one when they have dodgeball team and play internationally.
