Try to only remember the good things about the person that died. Soon, you'll stop mourning.

Not really. I had to just suffer through it. I found that eating small amounts of food often helped. I never let my stomach get empty. Make sure your bowels are moving well, because I found that being constapated made me feel sicker. Drink lots of water if you can tolerate it. Also there is a pill you can get from the doctor if you feel you need it. It is safe for pregnant women. It is called Diclectin. It is basically vitamin B and an anthisamine. I have been on it since the beginning of my pregnancy. In the first trimester I didn't think it was helping, because I was still feeling sick from the time I got up in the morning until the time I went to bed at night. But when I stopped taking it I realized that it had been helping, because when I went off it I started throwing up more often than before, so I started taking it again. Like I said though, I just had to suffer through the first 4 months. Things are much better now. When you are going through it, it feels like an eternity, until it is over, and then it doesn't seem like it was really that long. I found it to be brutal though! Good luck to you. Hope you are feeling better soon! Oh yeah! Sucking on hard candies would usually help me if I felt like I was going to throw up. Good Luck!

Keep a little pack of saltine crackers on your bedside table and eat one or two before you raise your head up from the pillow. Then, when you get up, drink some 7up, Sprite, or Ginger Ale.
Try eating small meals throughout the day rather than 3 larger meals so that you've always got something in your stomach. When your stomach is empty you're more likely to feel nauseaus.
The good news is that morning sickness usually goes away by the end of the first trimester. Best wishes!

When I have morning sickness, i try to eat a little something, even if it is no more than a couple of crackers. It helps MOST of the time. I asked a similar question on what I could do about morning sickness while at work, and I was informed that they have Prego Pops or something. It is a sucker and it supposedly helps. Good luck with everything.
If you take your prenatals at night, try taking them in the morning to see if it makes a difference.

You can eat smaller more frequent meals. try to keep something in your tummy at all times. (crackers, peanut butter) b/c you will get sick if dont have anything in there. They have braclets that people use for motion sickness that also help with morning sickness. (it actually says it on the pack) dont eat a lot of greasy foods. Good Luck mommy it wont last forever!! :)

Anything with real ginger in it (not just ginger-flavored).
You can get ginger root in the produce section of the grocery store, slice it very thin, and boil it with lemon slices. Strain the water to get the ginger and lemon pieces out, sweeten with honey, and drink. Works wonders. My neighbor did that every day for two months when she was pregnant, and it helped her a lot.
Ask your doctor if he/she thinks it's okay for you to have ginger tea. There's no reason I can think of to make it NOT okay ... pregnant women eat ginger all the time. But make sure, just to be safe. Call the office and ask.
The PREGGO POPS the other answerer is referring to are made with ginger ... so that's another option, yes. There are lots of places that sell them online. Just type "Preggo Pops" into Google and find a store.

I had morning sickness soooo bad (They had to put 2 liters of fluid in me two weeks in a row before I lost the baby) and Rasberry lemonade was the only thing that made my stomach feel better. It's a tough period of the pregnancy but you can and will get through it. Good luck.

When I was pregnant differents smells would make me sick every day, something that didn't bother me one day,did the next!! Its difficult to give an accurate remedy, as everyone is so different. The basic rememies are:
**Glass of water and dry biscuit before you get out of bed. Get hubby to get up before you, and stay in bed and wake up properly before you get up.
**Eat little and often, small meals often will keep your tummy full and combat that horrible acidic hungry feeling you get.
**Eat light foods, salads, boiled veges, fruits(low acid) white meats, fish(minimal, due to mercury content).
**Keep your fluids up lots of fresh water! avoid sugary or decadent drinks, coffee, strong sugary tea, milkshakes.
**Steer clear of alcohol and cigarettes if, apart from being harmful to bubba, in increases the chances you will get indigestion, very yucky when you feel sick as well.
**Lastly find a specialty pregnancy and breastfeeding multivitamin, and take fish oil tablets. Fish oils will provide Omega3 fatty acids(DHA & EPA), to help reduce the risk of neural tube defects, some learning and physical disabilities. These will make sure you and your precious bubba are getting the nurients you both need. Even if you arent managing to get them through your diet!!
Best wishes, enjoy you journey to motherhood, cherish every moment!!!
God bless.

GINGER GINGER GINGER helps...you can get Ginger tea, ginger beer (non alcoholic) or ginger candy at any decent grocer. Saltines are your best friend, darling. Congrats!
