Someone was kind enough to give me the step by step instructions a few weeks ago, so i will pass them on. Click START. Then click CONTROL PANRL. Then click ADD/REMOVE Then scroll down until you see internet Explorer 7. Click it, uninstall it. IE6 will still be on your computer and function..

Click Start, and then click Control Panel.
Click Add or Remove Programs.
Check Show Updates at the top of the dialog box.
Scroll down the list to Windows XP Software Updates, select Internet Explorer 7 and then click "Change/Remove."
If "Internet Explorer 7 Beta 2 Preview" does not exist, then
Search for "Windows Internet Explorer 7" and then click "Change/Remove."
If nothing of the above works, then try this Click Start ->Run and type
%windir%\$NtUninstallie7bet2p$\spuninst\spuninst.exe
You need to have "view hidden folders" enabled. %windir% is your Windows installation directory, which is normally 'C:\Windows' on most systems.

Go into add/remove programs. Click on show updates and stroll down until you see internet explorer 7. You can then uninstall it and it will go back to the previous version of internet explorer. If you are having trouble with internet explorer go to microsoft.com and it will show how to make internet explorer 7 good for you.

I tried control panel, and remove it. That did not work.
I had to do control panel,
system restore to about one month before I installed it.
Then after I did that I went through the programs, and removed all traces of IE &.
It was horrible and I tried everything else before I did the system restore. You do not lose files or emails when you do this. You just lose the acceptance by the computer of programs, however you still have to remove all traces from control panel, remove programs.
GOD bless.

IT CAN BE DONE BUT NOT THRU THE USUAL ADD/REMOVE PROGRAMS. I KNOW BECAUSE I DID IT. NOT WHAT I WAS TRYING TO DO, BUT I DID IT. MAKE SURE YOU'VE GOT A BACKUP BROWSER, I RECOMMEND FIREFOX. YOU CAN GO TO SEARCH AND START DELETING FROM THERE. GOOD LUCK.....
GOD BLESS
