I would go to court, and make them stop the harassment. If you take the money and leave, or for that matter stay, you are just enabling the perpetrator to go forward. Making the company respond in court, gives notice to all that this is going on. You might get a settlement from the court as well.

Yeah, you can stand up to them and stay and show that your not afraid of them. But then also they could make your work environment a living heck. People gossip even if you tell them not too. Then the rumors start. Then what did you accomplish by staying? Quit w/notice right after you get your settlement paid to you. Why be miserable then you do when all this way going on. It just made you sick right?
Good luck...

Is there a way you can stay, take the settlement and get rid of the harasser? That would be good. If I loved the job and had people there that supported me, I would stay and make it a statement within the company. Good luck and Good for you girl.

As sad as the fact is, you're productivity is going to be permanently damaged at that company because of the stigma of the whole thing. People are going to be afraid to work with you on projects and be nervous when near you. If you want to live up to your true potential in your chosen field, you don't really have much of a choice but to take the settlement and move on.
