Just wondering what kind of impression it can make on an interviewer (or what would cross your mind seeing me in a uniform if I was to interview with you for a job)?

That is a very good question, and my guess is you are wanting to do this because you don' have any other dress clothing to wear. (My son is in the Navy).

I would say it is not a good thing. Some people might feel down on the military and you showing up in a uniform might intimidate them. And I hate to say it, but if you are not down with the full length of your enlistment, not just the active duty portion, it may remind them that they could hire you and train you and a few months later, you could be activated.

It may also appear that you may not be able to make a transition back to civilian life.

You are entering the civilian world again and as the old adage goes, when in Rome do as the Romans do-- go out and buy an interview suit and wear civies

The Federal Government waste more money than the Private sector. I once worked for the Federal Government and I saw so much waste and people that would come to the building but didn't nothing all day. I couldn't stand seeing that so many people were hired without them having any responsibility I mean absolutely zero work to do. That is a waste of the tax payers money. Once you have been hired and are there for three years you can't be fired. I finally quit and went to work in the Private sector where people actually work for their pay. I would have to say no to your question. The Federal government knows how to spend money but they don't know how to save money. They spend all they have and more. Therefore they do not know how to manage money or the Country. I agree with Mike Huckabee about term limits.

No, I don't think you should unless you were entering for a military type position in the private sector.
