The movements of particles from a high concentration to an area of low concentration.

An example would be using a lysol or something in the air and a few minutes later you can smell it in the next room.

Diffusion is a process where something diffuses meaning spread over a wide area. That might not be a good example but when you spray perfume in a room, it spreads over the entire room.
