I believe I'm just like any other college student. Confused with what to major in . . .I honestly have no idea.

I like reading and writing, but honestly, where is that going to get me? Please don't say things like author or poet, these are very admirable careers, but obviously very hard to "break" into.

Any ideas? It's awful not to have any clue, and I'm very interested in hearing other's ideas. . .

To be honest, you don't have to pick a major until you're going into your second semester of your Sophomore year. You'll be so busy with your mandatory classes that your course load will be full without a major. Go in as Undeclared or Undecided until you find your nitch! You'll figure it out by then I'm sure.

Here's a word of advice for you:

Unless you go into a technical area, such as engineering or science, your field of study won't make a difference. Companies simply want to see that you have a 4 year degree. History, English, Art, Psychology, blah blah blah.

Major in something you enjoy and minor in business. This way your GPA will be high and you'll keep your options open for grad school or law school.

Minor in business so that when you get a job after graduation, companies will think you can manage money.

i think of you're on the nicely suited music. i'm undecided of your type, yet you could desire to get a bachelor's in a field of issues: social artwork, nursing, a distant places language, training, possibly international corporation. next, you desire a sophisticated degree. If that's what you desire to do, a twin degree in Social artwork and Public well being is the path so which you will take. many colleges of Social artwork supply a twin degree so which you will obtain the two concurrently in 3 years, rather of the 4 years it could take to obtain them one by one.
