I go to school at the mini UN!!!!!?

Question

I'm for real!!! I my high school we have a German Foreign exchange student, People Korea, Mexico, Nigeria, France, Australia, Germany (like I said), and so many other places. I'm from the south so that helps with the diversity as well, Like with just the white people alone, we have preps, Jocks (Lick cheerleaders, football, soccer etc.), Rednecks, Goth/EMO, loners, stoners, Geeks, Freaks, And the really smart people, The white guys that try to act black. The we have the African-American people, they divide too.........so I guess my question is..........Is it good that my school is so diverse??( I'm from a small town, Like 2,000 people.) Would you have liked to go to a school like this?? What was/is your school like?? So, what do you think of my high school??

That's probably a really good thing!!!! I means that you will get to see and learn many new things from your foreign friends that many high schoolers never get a chance to!!!!

=maybe I have lived a sheltered life compared to you. I cannot believe the ethnic and cultural diversity your school has down South. When I was in high school there were only about 5 black students and no Asians etc. It wasn't till I went to college that I experienced and of this. You are lucky at your age to have exposure to many others.

If you ever plan on going to college, get used to it. And yes, it is a good thing. It lessens bigotry, even if the various groups don't mix. It's much harder to hate a group of people when one of them helped you out in biology class. My high school was kind of like that - I went to the same high school as Tupac did, but I was a white punk rocker who dated a Latino goth. It made me a better person, I think.

Diversity is good. In my day people were all trying to be alike and dress alike and the Hippy years set us free until we figured out we had to make a living and so back into the mold.
