a family member needs to contact s.services to find out the story. the mom was obviously unfit and unable to care for these kids, and hopefully they are in a better place. there will be a hearing for temporary of permanent custody by s.services which a family person can put their 2 cents worth. i was raised in foster homes, and know the wholllle story.

This is a very hard and difficult situation. It is possible for a family member alot of times to step in and take custody if they are capable of taking care of the children and want the responsibility.

It maybe possible for the father to get custody back of his children as well depending on the crime he has commited and if he gets help and shows the court he can be a responsible father as well. The mother depending on the circumstance maybe able to step in as well.

I would just try to be there for your friend and show her that you care. good luck.

The children were probably taken away to protect them. Social Services will probably look into putting them with a family member before putting them into the system. You have to let things take it's course and let the family and the state deal with it.

Call the social services or go there.
