No.

Over the past 100 years, Senators (or people who have served in the Senate) are not elected unless they're running against another Senator (Kenndy, Nixon, etc) or they get the job being VP when the POTUS dies (Truman).

In addition, there are as many people FANATICALLY against Hillary as for her, and that is in the Democratic party.

You must remember that the Dems never got 50% of the popular POTUS vote for Bill, and lost both chambers of Congress under Bill, and were forced to renounce feminism (and reality) during the impeachment scandal.

Hillary has her own baggage, which no doubt will be brought up again (Rose Law Firm, Whitewater, Cattle Futures, Vince Foster, campaign finance violations, etc).

Worse yet, Hillary is trying to look like a quasi-conservative when people "know" she's a liberal, much to the deep irritation of both sides. Hillary has been pro-war, or at least she was until it got unpopular.

Finally, electing Hillary would be like the GOP electing Newt Gingrich -- one can be sure that there would be at least 4 years of bitter protest and rancor, and very little of the Dem agenda would be done.

I doubt very much that she will win the primary, never mind the election. And the party faithful know she would be a bad choice. She is only marginally a democrat, having ducked just about anything controversial in the time she has been in the Senate, and having moved her policy statements firmly to the right.

We need a much better Democratic candidate than Hillary - but I do hope whoever we choose wins!

Mr TADS is ideal. He ought to easily have yet another this kind of crystal balls. And all this time i concept I had the monopoly of destiny perception. Hillary will win the Democratic nomination for President and could go on to win the final election and placed to relax all that "women won't be able to be President" nonsense. Obama will be vice president till Hillary comes to a call to pass for a 'southern approach' with Edwards or a Hispanic selection with Richardson. Republicans will nominate Mitt Romney after Guiliani's megastar fades once the Florida customary opens up. look ahead to a more desirable exciting vice president selection procedure on the Republican aspect. Hillary will win in November and be sworn in January of '09. I not often want this to ensue yet ensue this is going to. i'm with Ron Paul for the period and then i am going to vote Libertarian up and down till there is yet another 'libertarian' operating as a Democrat or Republican. no matter if this is Clinton, Obama or Edwards or no matter if this is Guiliani, McCain, Romney or Thompson what's the adaptation? they are all puppets for the proprietors of the Federal Reserve only as a lot as all of us who votes Democrat or Republican is to blame to flushing us of a of america down the bathroom.

I HAVE NEVER HEARD OF HER! And I'm into politics in America. Whoever the democrap party pushes is never right, so I don't pay attention on who they call next.

HOWEVER, I have heard they are going to use a female socialist to run for president.

I know they gave us a pathological liar, a very lewd, lascivious man, and an anti-semite peanut farmer in the past.

*if* she runs
and *if* she wins the primary
then she very well may.
there are people who would vote for her just because she's female-- and people who would vote against her because she's female... it would be very interesting to see---
if she is "electable" and does it right-- then yea--- she can win. oh yes. tie republicans to mr. bush.
