I try to live my whole life honestly. I try not to change myself in ways that I can not do on my own. For instance change hair color, be healthy (by that I mean i would never get anything like liposuction, or fake body parts. Is it really better if I act like I don't have a concern with somebody just to be curtious, or to "sugar coat" an idea just not to make the impact more accepted. I wouldn't say anything that wasn't true to get what I wanted. Ok I guess you know my opinion about it now. What I am really asking is your opinion on whether or not its worth it to live that way and have pride in it, or "fake" and make things a little or well I guess for some alot easier. (for instance telling your boss that you were not sleeping so you don't get fired even though you were. Yes I told my boss I was sleeping because I'm that honest) Does it even matter as long as your happy? Has this ever been an issue that has been tough to decide for you?

It's okay to be fake, occasionaly. Weigh your options and see if doing what you really want to do is going to bite you in the butt later on. Use your common sense and do what's right, evn if it means plastering a smile on your face and acting happy when you want to see someone six feet under. it's not that hard to figure out. If you have to be fake all the time to get along with someone you don't need to be hanging around, then stop hanging around with them. If being completely honest with someone has the potential of hurting them horribly, sugar coat it or don't say anything at all. Think before you act, and do what will probably have the best outcome in the long run.
Ignore the people saying fake is allways wrong, they're probably posers themselves. People, what are you going to do when you're on thin ice at your job and the boss or a customer ticks you off? Think real hard before you answer that one. *this is assuming that you need the job and finding another soon just isn't going to happen*

I don't think it is worth it to live fake, but society has placed this guide line. All of these anorexic/bolemic models, these plastic celebrities and everything else influence the physical fakeness. That is harsh on a lot of people's self esteem. Growing up, I was never the pretty girl in school and was constantly judged. I grew up thinking others will do the same so I changed my hair color and started wearing makeup. After going through a divorce and back into the dating scene, I was even more self conscience. Now back into a serious relationship I wanna look my best to impress since we live so far apart and have a wait til we get together. Now thinking of that one question you mentioned, "does it even matter as long as your happy" I just feel like I need to be myself and not worry bout what anyone else thinks and if he doesn't love me for who I am (which he does) then so be it, out the door. It really is a tough decision. I guess it all goes on our upbringings and how society affected us as we got older. Wow, thanks for bringing this up. Making me think a lot now!

It's all how you look at it. I think comedian Cris Rock put it best about, ''All women lie'' With high heel shoes--- you're not that tall... Wonder Bra's-- Your boobs aren't that big. Make-up -- Your not that pretty. Its all perspective. Us hairdressers wouldn't be in business if it weren't for FAKE.. Don't tell any one... And next time your boss catches you sleeping do what I do...Cross your chest and pretend you are praying. He can't fire you for that.

No I do not believe in being fake/dishonest. However, I don't think the way we look physically makes us fake, but our behaviour would.

I'm always honest with myself. I dislike, no, I hate fake people. If you can't tell someone how you really feel, or what you opinion really is then you have problems.
The truth hurts, but it isn't bullcrap.
