LSU, Auburn, Alabama, Tennessee, and pretty much every opponent has an excellent D, except western carolina and ucf.

u think osu defense is better than lsu, auburn, arkansas, georgia, or any other sec team, i don't. Florida is going to win the national championship and there is nothing u osu fans can do about it.

the reason some sec teams appear to be bad defenses is because of the strength of offense in the sec. Arkansas top 3 in rushing, lsu top 5 in passing and top 10 in overall offense, Tennessee top 15 in recieving offense. that's why the numbers are skewed a little. and in the big 2 most of the teams ranked very low in overall defense and offense for that matter.

I think UF is the underdog team and that may be to their advantage. I'm hoping it will be a good game nevertheless. The OSU vs Michigan game was dreadful. I'm so glad they won't be in the championship game. I like Michigan, I just don't think they're good enough to be in the final.

"P.S. TheOnlyBeldin......You talk about Michigan's wins against Ball St, Northwestern & Minnesota......how about Florida's wins against Central Florida, Southern Miss & 1-AA Western Carolina????"
Actually Florida blew those teams out as they should, UM struggled against their weak teams. I guess Urban Meyer is whiny b/c he complained about the bias BEFORE the final poll, however Carr is classy b/c he cried AFTER about Meyer and Tressel.
I would like to see the source where I can find these "comments" from Vandy coaches, b/c all I've heard them say is that they played UM the first game when they were rusty and learning the plays and played UF when they felt more confident (Also UM game was in Ann Arbor and UF game was at Vandy to bring up this home field UM fans love to use)
All of you Big Ten homers can talk all of the garbage you want to, but it will not affect the outcome on Jan 8th, when the nat'l championship comes back to the SEC. I'm sure you will all say that there were bad calls, or OSU was rusty, UF should have never been there, and whatever else excuse lets you stay in denial about your powder puff conference. UF will hoist the crystal ball that night and none of your bellyaching and excuses will take it away.

According to the NCAA total defense rankings only 1 of the 4 teams you listed are in the top 10. LSU is #2. Bama was #18, Auburn #25 & Tenn #50
I see one great defense, and 3 mediocre defense listed here.
After Ohio St blows your doors off in Jan., everybody will see that UF didn't belong. Urban (whiny) Meyer and the rest of the Gators will wish they had gone to Pasedena to play USC. As for comparisons between UF & U-M, ask the Vanderbilt coaching staff. They played both schools, and to a man they agree that Michigan is the best team they played this year, and that's from SEC coaches!!!!
P.S. TheOnlyBeldin......You talk about Michigan's wins against Ball St, Northwestern & Minnesota......how about Florida's wins against Central Florida, Southern Miss & 1-AA Western Carolina????
Beldin.....you can't compare the way you are. The SEC teams' records end up skewed because the entire conference plays NOBODY non-conference. The entire conference played 5 ranked non-conference teams. U-K lost to Louisville, Tenn beat Cal and Arkansas got blown out by USC, Miss St got blown out by W. Virginia and S. Carolina beat Clemson. The Big Ten played 13 road non-conference games and 7 of those were against ranked opponents. 4 easy non-conference games makes for a lot of teams that have inflated records. I'm sorry but any BCS conference team that plays a Division 1-AA team should automatically be removed from playing for the National Title. There enough "mid-major" teams that will take the paycheck and the ***-whuppin' that Florida didn't need to play Western Carolina, Arkansas didn't need to play S.E. Missouri St., Ole' Miss probably did need to play Northwestern St, but they aren't championship contenders. When the SEC wins 2 bowl games (LSU over N.D. & South Carolina over Houston) we will all see just how tough the conference is. Compare "stats" all you want, U-M beat Vanderbilt 27-7, Florida beat them 25-19, and not many people want to mention that or what the Vandy coaches were saying about the 2 teams. Quite frankly, I'll take the Vandy coaches opinion over any "stat", media member or fan.

i'm going to provide wealthy Rod a three. Over 2 seasons he has long previous 8-sixteen (.333) yet you could evaluate the actuality that he thoroughly replaced Michigan's offensive equipment. whether, the protection has been disappointing. we've additionally lost to those Buckeyes two times now. on the bright component, he's finally have been given some gamers that for the time of good shape the unfold offense and final season approximately 70% of the team have been novices/sophomores. All us Michigan followers can seem to our bright destiny for convenience. quickly Michigan will tutor anyone why they have the main wins in FBS heritage.

Why let facts get in the way of the arguments of the Michigan whiners, who seem to forget their ugly wins over some really bad teams, like Ball State, Northwestern, or Minnesota.
Scott T must have missed the breakdown:
- Florida beat 9 teams with non-losing records this year; Michigan beat 6.
- Florida beat 7 teams with winning records; Michigan beat 4.
- Florida beat 3 teams in the top 25; Michigan beat 2.
- No team that Michigan beat has a win over a top 25 opponent.
- Florida won its conference; Michigan didn't.

They are lucky that they beat South Carolina and didn't look too strong against Florida State.

maybe the numbers are skewed the other way, the defenses appear good because of the lack of strength of the offenses, thats more like it!!!! remember Georgia????

Florida had several ugly wins that didn't impress the majority of fans. It didn't help that coach Meyer was whining and complaining like a little girl. I'm not a Michigan fan, but I do believe they should be in the championship game eventhough it would be a rematch.
