I love war movies...

Saving Private Ryan is a genius work of cinematic art.... Best WWII movie out there...

I also ADORE Pearl Harbour for the story/stories behind the actual day of the Pearl Harbour bombing.

Apocalypse Now is the bomb...
Basic is killer...
The Hunt for Red October
and ANY Civil War movie... Gods and Generals, Glory, North and South....

Actually, there are several. For a classic war movie, "Forty-Ninth Parallel." For comedy, "The Russians Are Coming! The Russians Are Coming!" And for general military fare, "The Hunt For Red October."

There are so many that I enjoy. Like everyone else I thought Pearl Harbor, Black Hawk Down, We Were Soldiers and Saving Private Ryan were great. Some that I like that I didn't see mentioned are Braveheart, Rules of Engagement and The Patriot.
