According to the American law? Because from my understanding, you are considered Hispanic right?

DJ, I am not an idiot. I know that Hispanic is not a freaking race. But according to American law, it IS. That is how the government classifies people from Spanish speaking countries. Unless you are going to answer my question, please don't preach BS that half of the world knows. Thanks.

There are very withe looking Cubans and if he is 1/2 white by society he might be considered white but by the American government he is considered latino/hispanic because now when u get to the little boxes where u have to check ur race theres one that expecifies whites non-latinos/hispanic so that means he is considered Hispanic/latino by the American law.

According to the "American" law, as far as I know, you self-declare your race. Now the race of this person will depend if this person is a white Cuban, a mixed Cuban, or a black Cuban.

Hispanic is something you can self select. It depends on what the child classifies him/her self as, which has much to do with what they look like. If they look white, they will likely classify as white. If they look Latino (mixed) they will likely classify as Hispanic. It is up to them (and their parents), not the government. However, you won't have many darker skinned classifying as white because it's ridiculous. but it happens

Hispanic is NOT A RACE. It is a language and cultural group. I know hispanics that are whiter-than-white and some that are blacker-than-black and all shades of brown in between including yellow.
In the US, most Hispanics are "white" on their birth certificate unless they are of African ancestry.

If human beings have been "given" races with the help of the state, a superb variety of people might provide them decrease back. Description of a race on a delivery certificates has little to no application in human society.

Mixed race technically. More and more, it is an option to choose "mixed." Before, I think people just chose "other."
