Call or write the Tourist Bureau. You may also check out the Chamber of Commerce of each city, and the local People section of a local paper. If you know the city you want to visit, goggle it and see if interesting place pop up. Don't orget to inquire through the AAA and Trip Tick.

Search for newspaper web-sites in Minnesota. You might need to search under 'city name' and newspaper to get more specific. These sites should have all the news you need.
You can also search for sites of local TV news stations and get similar results.
